Tabbit CLI lets agents such as Codex, Claude Code, and WorkBuddy use Tabbit Browser for web tasks while reusing your existing signed-in sessions. Follow these steps to install, verify, and run your first task.
1. Download the latest Tabbit
Download Tabbit for mainland China
Download Tabbit international edition
2. Install and connect an agent
1) Install and launch the latest Tabbit.
2) Sign in to the websites your task needs in Tabbit.
3) Start Codex or another supported agent. Tabbit installs the required Skill for detected agents.
4) Restart the agent so it reloads its Skills.
3. Verify the /tabbit Skill
Enter this command in your agent:
/tabbitIf the agent recognizes the command or shows the Tabbit Skill, installation succeeded. If it does not, check the files below.
macOS paths
Agent path: ~/.agents/skills/tabbit/SKILL.md
Tabbit-managed source: ~/Library/Application Support/Tabbit/LocalAgent/skills/tabbit/SKILL.mdSKILL.md should exist at both locations. ~/.agents/skills/tabbit should point to the Tabbit-managed directory.
Windows paths
Agent path: %USERPROFILE%\.agents\skills\tabbit\SKILL.md
Tabbit-managed source: %LOCALAPPDATA%\Tabbit\LocalAgent\skills\tabbit\SKILL.mdSKILL.md should exist at both locations. These paths use your current user profile and LocalAppData; administrator access is not required.
4. Recover a missing Skill
1) Quit Tabbit completely, then launch the latest Tabbit again.
2) Restart the agent and enter /tabbit again.
3) If it is still missing, reinstall the latest Tabbit. When reporting the problem, include your Tabbit version, operating system, and screenshots of the paths above.
5. Run your first task
Enter this prompt in your agent:
/tabbit Browse the websites where I am already signed in and summarize what is worth reading today.The agent can use your existing Tabbit sessions. You can keep working in other windows while it runs, then return to review the result.
